The West Africa Biomanufacturing Regulation & Market Access Forum (24–25 March 2026) brought together key stakeholders to address a pressing challenge of Africa’s reliance on imported vaccines and biologics.
With over 90% of pharmaceuticals still imported , discussions focused on:
• Advancing local manufacturing capacity
• Strengthening regulatory collaboration
• Improving market access across borders
• Driving sustainable financing solutions
We extend our sincere appreciation to the conveners including the African Medicines Agency, Africa CDC, and the Government of Ghana, the Ministry of Health as well as all partners, regulators, industry players, and development stakeholders whose contributions made this forum impactful.
As a national partner, the National Vaccine Institute remains committed to advancing its mandate to position Ghana as a regional vaccine manufacturing hub, strengthen partnerships, and ensure equitable access to vaccines.
The momentum must continue. We invite stakeholders, investors, and partners to collaborate with NVI in building a resilient, self-reliant vaccine ecosystem for Ghana and West Africa.
